Lifelong residents of New Jersey, Henna and Arwa Abbassi have both led accomplished careers as real estate professionals. While Henna started out in 1986, building elite foundations as both a Realtor and Broker, Arwa began her career in the family’s textile business, and in 2003 found real estate was a perfect match for her outgoing personality and entrepreneurial spirit. After both sisters were fully established as successful solo agents, though, they decided the time was right to join forces and launch The “A” Team. The rest is history.
Today, Henna and Arwa lead The “A” Team through Coldwell Banker, Hillsdale, where they assist clients throughout Bergen and Hudson County. Leaning on their combined 50+ years of experience, they have cultivated a boutique workflow to meet the needs of any buyer or seller. “We always answer our phones, and we always know where the transaction is,” Arwa says. “Through the years, we’ve strived to push to the next level and give our clients the best service possible.”
When listing a property, the Abbassi sisters offer a comprehensive approach. Leveraging the strength of Coldwell Banker’s Listing Concierge program, they help their clients prepare their home for the market and equip them with everything from professional photography to commercials, social media videos, and aerial photography. As Zillow Premier Agents, they then share each home not only to a blend of MLS services, but also a mix of targeted digital and social media campaigns.
Meanwhile, Henna and Arwa are just as hands-on with their buyers, drawing from their decades of experience and extensive professional sphere to carefully guide each client to the right property for their needs. But for the Abbassi sisters, the transaction is never truly over, as they prefer to remain in touch well after the closing to provide ongoing, VIP service and ensure each client is fully satisfied in their new home.
Through the years, the Abbassi sisters have earned a stellar reputation throughout New Jersey, with the vast majority of their volume coming from repeat clients or referrals they continue to uphold the strong standard of integrity that has set them apart. “When we first meet with a client, we really listen to their needs,” Henna says. “Once we understand and see what matters most to them, we make sure everything always falls into place.”
Outside their career, the Abbassi sisters are deeply involved in their community. On top of supporting their local food pantries and children’s sports teams, they have also worked hand-in-hand with local mayors to provide direct assistance to those in need. But going forward, Henna and Arwa also have exciting plans for the future of their business. As their volume maintains its rapid growth, they intend on delving into live video and uncovering new opportunities for their buyers and sellers. Most of all, they are driven by the possibilities that await them. “It’s not about the commission; it’s about working for our clients and making them happy,” Arwa says. “We really care about customer service—and that’s key.”
